DAP LAUNCHES LABUAN BRANCH

SABAH DAP state committee leaders arrived in FT Labuan for a two days visit to launch the Parliamentary Liaison branch and to conduct new voter registration exercise. The team is led by the Sabah DAP state chairman cum Kota Kinabalu Member of Parliament Dr. Hiew King Cheu, Edward Ewol Mujie, Dr. Edwin Bosi and Peter Liew Fui Ken.

Together with the team are the Kota Kinabalu Parliamentary Youth Chief Junz Wong, Henry Shim and Bryan Wong with other youth who will conduct the new voter registration in the Labuan town centre Pasar Tani on Sunday 10th October from 8am to 12 noon.

Junz advice all young people attain the age of 21 to come to the booth to register themselves as a voter to exercise their right to elect their representative. He hopes the people here can make use of this opportunity to register themselves, and bring along the MYcard.

The Sabah DAP FT Labuan parliamentary Liaison Branch is headed by the well known figure in Labuan, Mr. Lau Seng Kiat, who had stood for the 2008 general election as an independent candidate to contest against the BN candidate. He joining the Sabah DAP has indeed straightened the organization of the DAP in Labuan and to upgrade the strength and the unity of the Pakatan Rakyat team in FT Labuan.

Lau said he will voice for the various problems arising in Labuan and will transfer the complaints received to the State chairman Dr. Hiew for him to bring the matters up in Parliament.

Dr. Hiew said the setting up of the Parliamentary Liaison Branch in FT Labuan will definitely bring the Labuan people some hope to see things done properly in the future, because DAP is action packed and always champion for the rights of the people.
