JUST A ‘COFFEE TALK’ ONLY!

THE Pakatan Rakyat operation director for the Batu Sapi By-election Dr. Hiew King Cheu said today when asked by reporters on how he views the recent meeting convened between the Party Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) and SAPP in Sabah, he commented that it is just a ‘coffee talk’ only!

The situation is clear that what ever talk and the content transpired during the ‘coffee talk’ is purely some exchange of request from both sides, meaning just asking the other side to back out and not to come in to contest.

Dr. Hiew said PR partner-PKR attended the meeting was purely acting on its own, and PRSS (Pakatan Rakyat Sabah Secretariat) do not register and recognize on any things that had been transpired. This is following the autonomy granted by the central PR leadership to PRSS. The three components in Sabah must reach common agreement, and for the interest of the PRSS no party shall act individually.

The SAPP Yong Teck Lee said that there will be a ‘friendly match’ between PR-PKR and SAPP, he is wrong. There is nothing called the ‘Friendly Match’ as far as the PR team is concerned. We are representing the hope of the people in Batu Sapi and in Sandakan. PR being a composition of three national parties has now and always a mission and a responsibility to fulfill for the people, how can there be a ‘Play-Play friendly match’ with SAPP Yong Teck Lee. We are there to beat the BN and no deal with any one who are there to split the votes and spoil the chance to tell the BN that Sandakan and Batu Sapi people had enough of the BN unfair rule.

Yong is just repeating his old tactic used when he was still in PBS during the 1990 state election that directing DAP to work with PBS to fight BN-the Friend Match, that resulting the total defeat of the DAP candidates. He later in 1994 jump-ship and formed SAPP supported by BN to caused the down fall of PBS. SAPP left BN after 308 that also caused the down fall of the ex-PM Adullah Badawi.

Sabah PR team will go all out to ensure a win in the Batu Sapi seat to fulfill the wish of the people which is loud and clear. The campaign work are in full preparation and members from the three parties are mobilized and in full operation. The supporters are reporting in to assist the campaign operation, and any one who wishes to help are welcome to come forward to register with us in our offices in Sandakan and Sabah.
