LET SEE THE WHOLE PICTURE!

Dear Editor,

LET'S not see only the larger picture, let see the whole picture. Hello Dr Edwin Bosi, two party system rule is a system practised in the United States, United Kingdom and some other countries where there is a overwhelming majority of one single race. We can say that it is 90 over per cent or over, and that is overwhelming. But in Malaysia, we cannot say that, because it is a racially mixed country.

The West Malaysians can say that the Malays consist over 70 per cent of the population there, but not in the case of Sabah and Sarawak where there are various ethnic groups. By actual fact, as Datuk Mohd Noor Mansoor said Sabah do not have ‘Orang Melayu’.

Apart from the original local people who are the KadazanDusunMurut (KDM), there are Bajau, Chinese and other various ethnic communities in Sabah, very diverse.

Sabah, like Sarawak has a diverse racial, cultural mix that the West Malaysians could never understand. What they 'systematic' only know is that Malaysia consists of three different races i.e. Malays, Chinese and Indians.

Apart from these races, the Kadazans, Dusun, Murut, Bajau, Illanum, Suluk, Dayak, Iban, Brunei and etc are all categorised as ‘others’ of ‘lain-lain’.

Animal Doctor Bosi may be too engrossed of having his memoirs noted in the Pakatan books for his contributions towards this ideology ‘two party system rule’ which actually does not work for Sabah and Sarawak.

Unlike Sabah, Sarawak is autonomically controlled by its local based parties although they are part of BN.

Its state administration and policies have remained totally intact, with no manuevering and interference from the Central BN leadership.

Sabah Progressive Party's slogan for ‘Sabah for Sabahan’ has a point in this case.

Regards,

JOHNNY CHIN
