MY statement in my capacity as a Christian and a Malaysian. Appreciate if you would publish in Sabahkini.net. A buffoon that only licks the hand that feeds him. One of the many reasons, why UMNO/BN should be kick out in the 13th GE.
Najib is claimed to be PM for all religion and race and if he can't deal with that, then bloody well STEP DOWN. As a Christian, I'm insulted by the opinion of this moron, read further his statement.
The Non-Muslims are more tolerable when it comes to religion,but to ridicule and insult them is unacceptable. Who gave Ridhuan Tee the right to dictate and decide on behalf of Allah how Christmas, Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Kaamatan or Gawai should be celebrated? The crucifix,church hymns and prayers are part of Christmas, do you hear any Non-Muslim making an issue when the Quran is being recited before any event or when the Azan is prayed over loud speakers in a housing estate?
That's what respect and tolerance means in Malaysia,which has made us harmonious,in a multi racial society. The late Yasser Arafat being a Muslim even went to Church with his wife (a Christian) during Christmas eve mass. Malaysia needs to change and transform itself away from the tyranny and racial intolerance of UMNO/BN. Why are the Christian leaders silent? The Church should not be stooges and stand firm in this matter.
It was said that when the Great Caliph Umar attended a meeting with a bishop in a Baghdad Church, were the crosses brought down? The fact is Umar did his prayers just outside the church without disturbing any crosses! Well, that is co-existence!!
Perhaps UMNO or Ridhuan Tee should go down memory lane, June 7th 2002 to be exact, when Tun Mahathir visited the Holy Father, Pope John Paul at Vatican, the main stream media reported, ‘The Pope’s meeting with Mahathir today has been touted by various quarters including the mainstream media as historic and unprecedented’. Did the Malaysian Government at that time issue a directive to the Vatican to have all crucifix removed because of Mahthir's visit?
UMNO's brand of racial and religions politics, has made the 1Malaysia a laughing stock. I dare Prime Minister Najib to deny and comment.
