DAP WALKABOUT AROUND SABAH

THE KK MP Dr. Hiew King Cheu will conduct a round the state visit to the various part of the state to further understand the many problems faced by the people. He said from the many requests and complaints that he received from all over Sabah and he found that such visits is essential in order to study and learn more about the problems that were brought up by the people. The visits shall be carried out during the January and February before the next session of the Parliament begins in March 2011.

As the lone opposition MP in Sabah, he said it is his duty not only to work and serve in his own constituency (Kota Kinabalu) that he was elected, but at the same time it is also equally important for him to cover as many areas to listen to the many complaints, comments, and request from the people of Sabah. In the past, he had covered quite many areas and had brought up various issues in Parliament.

The MP and his team will be making his first trip to the northern part of Sabah soon, and that shall cover the Kudat, Kota Marudu and Kota Belud area. The people had contacted the KK MP office with their problems, and Dr. Hiew will come personally to view the situation. A detail record shall be made if it is necessary to raise the matter in Parliament.

The following trips will be made during the last week of January focusing on the east coast of Sabah namely Sandakan, Lahad Datu, Semporna, Kunak, and Tawau onwards to Kalabakan and Merotai. The MP shall then visit the Interior districts straight after Chinese New Year, targeting to cover Tambunan, Keningau and Tenom. After that he will cover the Papar, Beaufort, Kuala Penyu and onwards to F. T. Labuan.
