SSMRA COURTESY CALL ON SABAH CP

THE Sabah Scrap Metals Recycle Association (SSMRA) has pledged to continue to give its full cooperation to the police, in preventing and combating metal theft in the state.

They pledged this during a courtesy call on the Sabah Commissioner of Police, Dato Hj Hamzah B. Taib, at the Police Headquarters in Kepayan here, on Tuesday.

The SSMRA committee was led by its President, Jennifer Hiew Nyuk Kan who was accompanied by its Vice President, Lee Ah Yew, its Secretary-general Eddie Tan, its Vice Secretary-general Ho Heng On, its Treasurer Edwin Chen and Wong Moy a committee member.

The said courtesy call was aimed chiefly to introduce the association and to forge a better rapport between the association and the police.

“We also explained our role in recycling of scrap metals in Sabah, thus to a certain extent helps protecting our environment,” said Hiew in a statement issued here today.
