NO FUND FOR UPGRADING ROAD?

THE ROAD USERS in Kudat are very upset about the Jalan Mission and Jalan Pearsons in the town area because the roads after receiving the so called upgrading work are no better than the previous bad condition. The users of these roads complained about the may pot holes along this road.

The Sabah DAP chief in Kudat Alex Wong said he received public complaints about this road and they all said the tax payers’ money were not well spent, and the interest and the welfare of the people were not taken care off.

The people said this is especially bad during the rainy season now, when the big holes were covered by the water, which posed danger to road users. This is very bad for the few schools in the area.

The Kudat JKR was informed of the bad condition of the road and this can cause serious accident anytime. They also found a big hole in the round about near the Tadika Lok Yuk. Very unfortunate, there is no action taken so far.

Alex Wong wants the authority to take immediate action to put right all the problems involving the road in the whole of Kudat district because Kudat is now well known for its bad road and its ‘TauFo’ road.

There are many other roads needed to be repair and upgraded as soon as possible and he doesn’t understand why there is no action taken, or rather the Minister of Infrastructure Development Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kittingan has no money for the Kudat district to carry out the road building and maintenance. Kudat is practically being forgotten and neglected, and may be the local assemblyman did not do his duty well.
