SABAH ABUSES OF HUMAN RIGHTS?

By : DANIEL JOHN JAMBUN

THE ACTION by the State Authority, in Sabah case, the Chief Minister, to ban human rights activist Haris Ibrahim of MCLM, from entering Sabah is a gross misuse of power and totally uncalled for.

It is a shame that the CM had chosen to target a person who comes here to bring light to the people, who seek nothing for himself but to empower the people of Sabah who themselves had become victims of abuses of human rights, systematic marginalization’s and negligence’s.

This immigration power should have been used to bar illegal immigrants, convicted criminals like ah longs, timber thieves and political middlemen who scourge the state as if there is no laws apply to them here.

Some alleged that some of these people are inter-mingling with the power that be in Sabah now, and Musa'd better address this to quash the rumours going around.

I am very sorry for Haris as certainly he is the least person to deserve this draconian treatment.

Musa should reflect on his action on why a dedicated man like Haris wants to come here using his own money to promote good governance and civil society. He is a lawyer with the people's interest at heart. He cannot be a threat to Sabah unless Sabah is now governed by those who disrespect human rights and civil society.
