ANG POW FROM SPORT TOTO

THE Area Sales Executif of Sport Toto Malaysia Sdn Bhd Sandakan Branch, Michael N.T Fung said in conjunction with celebration of the coming Chinese New Year , Sport ToTo is again bringing festive to the needy lod folks through Sport Toto Chinese New Year Ang Pow Donation Campaign.

“This much –anticipated charity campaign started from 12 January and will end on 19 January 2012. The 8-day campaign is currently being held in 41 cities and towns throughout the country,” he said.

Fung added marking the 24 years of the significant charitable course, about 16,000 needy old folks aged 60 and above from all races get to benefit from this year campaign.

He added that each recipient will receive an ang pow, a mini hamper comprising 10 types of foodstuff and essential items such an biscuits, milk cereals, canned food and of course Mandarin oranges.

According to him, that the Sport Toto has been supporting a diverse range of corporate social responsibility initiatives all these years and committed to giving and sharing with the needy old folks during every Chinese New Year season.

He said, the Sport Toto has set aside of least RM750,000 for this campaign. Furthermore, no less than 700 staff and Toto agents have been assigned to assist throughout the nationwide campaign.

Sandakan is one of the town taking in this campaign, the event was held at Hakka Association Hall yesterday morning it was conducted by Datuk Liew Vui Keong, Deputy Minister in the Prime Miniter Department cum Sandakan Member of Parliament who also gave hampers and ang paws to about 350 needy old folks.

"In this connection I on behalf Sports Toto would like to take this opportunity to wish auspicious and properous Chinese New Year” he told.
