DANGEROUS ROAD AT DAH YEH VILLA KK

NARROW......dangerous narrow road in Dah Yeh Villa.

THE VERY narrow stretch of road that is only 500 meter can be a death trap in the heart of Kota Kinabalu City. This narrow road can hardly allow two cars to pass from the opposite direction. The chance of hitting one another is very high if not careful. This is especially so at night when the car lights are blinding the opposite car.

The KK MP Hiew King Cheu was informed of this when he was on the CNY greeting visit to the Dah Yeh Villa here. The people said they have saw accident happened due to the very narrow road that do not allow two cars to pass easily. This makes it more dangerous being hit when there is a lorry passing by. This road was built really narrow due to the limited space.

The people living here also felt unsafe when cars are speeding pass their front door step, they urges the KK MP Hiew to bring up the matters to the authorities to seek help to at least get the situation improved.

Hiew said it is necessary to immediately redraw the centre divider lines using reflective paint, and there should be white road lines on both side of the road. The centre divider line must also fix with the “Cat-eye” reflectors to allow the drivers to see clearly at night.

The 'SLOW' road signage should be installed to warn the drivers to slow down their cars when they are driving on this narrow road.

  1. Hope that the JKR will pay attention to this, the roads might need to be restructured to allow the cars to pass through more easily and increase safety.
