SCB OPENS SAADIQ BRANCH IN SABAH

STANDARD Chartered Bank Malaysia Bhd has opened the first Standard Chartered Saadiq branch here as part of bank's expansion plan to strengthen its presence in Sabah.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Osman Morad said the opening of the new branch called 'new generation branch' signifies the bank's confidence in the rapid economic growth potential of the state.

"This follows the recent opening of its new Kuala Lumpur Main Branch its inaugural 'next generation' branch in Malaysia.

"We are confident to be here to serve our customers better by providing additional convenience with latest technology and for our customers in the state," he told reporters after the opening ceremony officiated by Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman at 1Borneo Hypermall Friday.

The new branch in Kota Kinabalu is Standard Chartered Saadiq's eighth in the country. Its other outlets are in Peninsular Malaysia including Taman Tun Dr Ismail (Kuala Lumpur), Ampang Point (Selangor), Klang, (Selangor) and Nusa Bestari (Johor). (BERNAMA)
