A SINGAPORE taxi driver was cleared of two charges of molesting an 18-year-old girl after compounding the offences.
Leow Hock Soon, 62, paid S$1,200 (RM2,880) to settle the matter on Tuesday.
He was originally charged with causing wrongful restraint to the girl when outraging her modesty twice in a cab along Woodlands Industrial Park E9 on the morning of Sept 27, 2010.
The charges were amended to simple molestation by the prosecution. (The Straits Times)
