GRAVEYARD ON THE ROAD?

GRAVE?.... The bad Mission Road and Pearsons Road look like a 'Grave Yard' on the road pavement?.

THE AUTHORITIES in Kudat had turned a deaf ear and blind eye towards the many complaints from the people concerning the depilated and very bad condition of the Jalan Mission and Jalan Pearsons in Kudat.

The condition of the road is classified as horrible. The parents, students and teachers from the SMK Abdul Rahim, SM Lok Yuk, Tadika Hwa Lian, and SRK St James are complaining about the road.

This road is affecting them a lot. This road is supposed to be converted to a dual carriage way but now it seems that the RM3 million of the people money is not being used properly.

Sabah DAP Kudat Chief, Alex Wong asked the authorities concern to give an explanation on why such is happening and why the work the work is so slow and near stop work. He said he had heard that the fund on this road had been used up, and why the authorities did not expedite to get the job done through other means. This is not logical for a job being managed like this.

The people in Kudat is fed up looking at this bad road and they said it is time that MACC should come on site to investigate on what is happening here. A report must be make known to the public, and perhaps the Director of JKR can explain to us what is going on and the future plan?

This could be a state government job, so may be the Minister of Works in Sabah can also explain on the situation. Of course Tan Sri Joseph Pairin as the Minister in charge will have to come to Kudat to have a look. May be he is too busy to even have time to think about Kudat.

The funny part is that the road is right in the middle of Kudat town, and yet the BN Member of Parliament Abdul Rahim Bakri and the BN state assemblyman Datuk Teo Chee Kang did not border to deal with the case.

Alex Wong said the people should their vote to protest against the BN administration during the next election.
