THE NEW president of Sabah United Chinese Chambers of Commerce (SUCCC) said he is committed to keeping SUCCC united to ensure its members would continue to grow and benefit from the chambers’ activities and programmes.

“I would also like to state here that I fully support the leadership of Datuk Seri Musa Hj Aman as Chief Minister and would like to see him continue helming the state,” Datuk Gan Sau Wah said after paying a courtesy call on Musa.

Gan said SUCCC would continue to back the Barisan Nasional (BN) as it believed the coalition would bring continuous development, peace and harmony to the country and Sabah.

Meanwhile, Musa said he wanted SUCCC to be cohesive and become stronger for the benefit of the Chinese community in Sabah.

“I would like to see SUCCC members benefit from the business opportunities available and contribute to the economic growth of the state,” he said.

Musa also expressed hope that SUCCC would continue to cooperate with the BN government which has always been supportive of the chambers’ activities and programmes.

“I have always said that I alone cannot develop Sabah. I need everyone’s cooperation, all communities and all the chambers, including the SUCCC,” he said.

Musa said all communities in Sabah must work hand in hand to develop the state for mutual benefit, adding that Sabah must be economically and politically stable to attract more business and investments.

Also present during the courtesy call was SUCCC deputy president Datuk Seri Panglima Sari Nuar who said he would cooperate with the new president as we would like to see SUCCC united and succeed. (theborneopost)
