PBS ULANGI GESAAN TUBUHKAN RCI


PARTI Bersatu Sabah (PBS) hari ini mengulangi gesaannya supaya ditubuhkan Suruhanjaya Siasatan Diraja (RCI) mengenai pendatang asing tanpa izin di negeri ini.

Timbalan Presidennya, Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili berkata ini merupakan satu daripada isu yang perlu diselesaikan oleh kerajaan Barisan Nasional (BN), sambil menegaskan perkara itu telah menjadi kebimbangan di kalangan rakyat Sabah.

"Oleh yang demikian, amat penting isu ini ditangani segera dengan menubuhkan Suruhanjaya Siasatan Diraja kerana isu ini boleh bertukar menjadi krisis di negeri ini dan mengakibatkan BN kehilangan sokongan rakyat," kata Ongkili pada seminar kepimpinan PBS di Labuan.

"Gesaan bagi penubuhan suruhanjaya ini telah disuarakan oleh beberapa pemimpin PBS sejak beberapa tahun dan PBS akan terus memperjuangkan isu penting ini," katanya. (BERNAMA)

  5. Kerajaan pada dasarnya telah bersetuju menubuhkan RCI di mana jemaah menteri pada mesyuarat 8 Februrari lalu telah meluluskan penubuhan suruhanjaya tersebut.

  6. memandangkan masalah PATI adalah hal yang serius dan tidak boleh dipandang ringan oleh semua pihak, maka ia perlu diselesaikan dengan segera.

  7. Perkara ini bukan sahaja berkaitan dengan isu politik tetapi ianya soal sosial, perlembagaan, kebudayaan, keselamatan dan isu-isu demografi yang perlu diselesaikan secara positif tetapi tegas sebelum pilihan raya umum akan datang.

  13. menteri2 persekutuan patut membuat kenyataan rasmi tentang pendirian mereka berkenaan dengan penubuhan RCI di negeri ini.. jangan biarkan rakyat di negeri ini tertanya2 dan jangan biarkan pemimpin2 kerajaan di negeri ini terus menanggung beban persekutuan..

  14. Upko President Tan Sri Bernard Dompok hopes the Royal Commission of Inquiry on illegal immigrants will still be announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

    1. He said this when asked by the media whether he shared the people's disappointment that Najib came and went without a word on the RCI last week.

    2. Dompok said the media should have been the ones to query the Prime Minister about the matter but reporters present told him they were not given the opportunity to do so as no press conference had been arranged for them with Najib.

    7. On the request by Najib that each component party send their candidates for a meeting on the coming 13th General Election, Dompok said Upko hasn't done it yet.

    11. When asked about Upko Deputy President cum Tuaran MP Datuk Wilfred Bumburing's stand or position in Upko and speculations about whether he was still with the party, Dompok reiterated that Bumburing was still with Upko.

    12. Dompok also said there was a need to codify the various practices of the Sabah native courts in an effort to bring about better administration of native laws in the State.

Speaking after the officiating the official groundbreaking ceremony of the RM5 million Penampang Native Court building, he said the allocation was part of the Federal Government's RM100m to the State of which RM60m was for the development of native courts and a training institute for native court administrators.

    15. "But we are requesting for additional allocation for the development of at least six more native courts," said Dompok, who is Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister.
