SAPP CALLS INVESTIGATE UMNO YB WITH MISTRESS

THE RELEVANT authorities have been urged to conduct a thorough investigation into a controversial news report by online news portal Sabahkini.net, implicating a senior State UMNO leader of keeping a Filipina mistress.

In making such a call, Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Information Chief Chong Pit Fah stressed that the said news report warrants an urgent attention and a thorough investigation, as the said senior state UMNO leader was said to have allegedly abused his position as a state legislator, in order to satisfy his personal lust of keeping a Filipina mistress, who is believed to be an illegal immigrant, originally.

The said UMNO State Assemblyman known as ‘Datuk S’ (name identified) was believed to have abused his position to secure a Malaysian citizenship for his Filipina mistress.

According to Sabahkini.net report, the said Filipina mistress known as Pia Binti Dahlan is holding MyKad bearing serial number 670315-12-5012. She was also alleged to hold Malaysian International Passport bearing serial number H16691775.

It was reported that Pia came to Sabah with valid Philippines Passport and Visa but failed to renew it making her an illegal immigrant. She stayed on until Datuk S came along and help her obtained the Malaysian citizenship and later made her a mistress.

It further reported that ‘Datuk S’ was also believed to have spent quite a fortune on her, showering her with lavish gifts like luxury home and vehicle, among others.

“Helping an illegal immigrant to obtain MyKad through the backdoor is far more serious than harbouring one, and is tantamount to an act of treason. His (Datuk S) showering of lavish gifts on his Filipina mistress also raised question of his excessive wealth.

“Hence, I strongly call on such relevant authorities like the National Registration Department (NRD), Immigration Department, Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) and the Police to investigate the allegations made against Datuk S.

“Failing which, it would only send out wrong message to the public that there’s double standard in the law enforcement of this country, one for the common people on the street, and another one for those in the corridor of power,” he said.

Nevertheless, Chong who is also SAPP Kepayan chief stressed that the latest development has made it even more pertinent and necessary for the Federal government to expedite the establishment of the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI), to thoroughly probe into the perennial illegal immigrants and related issues affecting Sabah, such as the issuance of Malaysian citizenship to foreigners through dubious means like the infamous, widely publicized ‘Project IC/M’ scheme.

He reminded that the people of Sabah at large, including politicians from both sides of the divide have been pushing for the establishment of the said RCI, to thoroughly probe into the issues, so as to effectively resolve the more than three decades long of sufferings inflicted upon the people of Sabah.

He then cited that SAPP deputy president cum MP for Sepangar Datuk Eric Majimbun had recently again highlighted another incident of foreign immigrant in possession of Mykad.

The said incident involved an Indonesian teacher in Tongod who was found to have in her possession three Malaysian identity cards bearing numbers 770111-12-5319, H0888166 and H0556718, respectively.

According to Majimbun, upon checking, the Home Minister had confirmed that the MyKad bearing the numbers 770111-12-5319 was not in existence while the other two identity cards do not belong to the teacher concerned.

And what was more shocking was that the Indonesian teacher managed to secure and utilize all the government funds and facilities provided for education, using the MyKad which actually belonged to a deceased citizen.

On 28 February this year, Majimbun also highlighted that the Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia (BR1M) scheme too has been exploited by some ‘dubious citizens’ who are in fact foreign nationals.

And the best part was, his own identity was stolen by an illegal immigrant back in 2008. Despite the MP’s fervent efforts in highlighting the matter then, including having raised it during the Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties meeting (SAPP was still in the coalition at that time), besides lodging of police report, nothing concrete has come out of it.

Chong thus reiterated that if nothing is done fast to tackle the perennial issues, more and more Sabahans would end up becoming “refugees in their own homeland”, as what is happening now, at an alarming rate.

“Our very own native people who are also the Bumiputera are fast losing their rights and privileges to these so-called 'new citizens/Bumiputeras' who are in actual fact foreign immigrants,” he said. (Media SAPP)
