10 FINALISTS FOR JKHAN MODEL SEARCH 2012

KOTA KINABALU: It is now down to 10 finalists from over 100 beauties who vied for the JKhan Model Search 2012.

Jkhan managing director Datin Rahmahjan Sulaiman Khan, in disclosing this, said they are looking for the best representation to be the ambassador of their products.

“We are looking for someone who has the special and unique Sabahan girl features. She will not only be modelling our products but a person to perfectly carry the brand name, as an ambassador to Jkhan,” she told reporters during a luncheon with the finalists here yesterday.

She added that the finale would be held in October and the winner would be offered a one-year contract with Jkhan.

“Prior to the finale, several activities will be carried out with the finalists. They will be judged through the personalities, their characters and commitment from now till the finale,” she said.

Rahmahjan added that qualified models would also be introduced in the international level since the Jkhan brand name is gaining popularity worldwide.

Meanwhile, she added that they would be holding a special event this Friday to mark the WW Magazine’s first anniversary. Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun is expected to be the guest-of-honour.

“Since the magazine hit the market last year, sales have increased to 85 per cent.

“Sabah tops the list with the most sales and this coming event is also our way of saying thank you for the support,” she said.

WW Magazine Chief Editor, Wirda Adnan said they have plans to expand its market abroad.

“We are in the process of looking for partners in other countries, such as Indonesia, but this all has to be done in stages,” she said.

Wirda admitted that WW is new in the market and has great competition from existing magazines in the country.

“However, we are happy that the magazine is gaining popularity and hope to get the readers’ continuous support,” she said.
