SCAREMONGERING AND BROWBEATING?

SIPITANG:  The style of administration practised by UMNO leaders in Sipitang is scaremongering and browbeating kampong folks. If you are the recipients of PPRT, E kasih, old age allowances or even pensioners you can’t be seen sitting down together with opposition members, said Sabah Progressive Party  (SAPP).

You are threatened and told off, government aids would be withdrawn these are their weapons, said Tuan Hj Amdee Sidik the Deputy President of SAPP when giving a talk at Kampong Pasikau, Melalia about 9km from Sipitang town (last weekend).

“This is very bad culture, we discovered this indoctrination over last three years. People don’t ask questions or queries, do that could tantamount to disrespecting the leaders. I consider this is no less than a feudal system, which supposed to be long gone.

Kampong people have nothing to fear with SAPP administration when we form the government. We exist because of you not for priviledged group”, Hj Amde said, who also the Chairman for SAPP Southern Zone and N28 Sindumin

SAPP administration is bottom up kind, not top down.

“Tell me what is it you want me to do in your kampongs. If its about running tap water in your house that should have been done long time ago not at the eve of General Election.

Don’t you all notice pipes water, big and small lying around along the Beaufort –Sipitnag Highway these days? Why now?

What we would do, to make sure no household is overlooked that the officials from water authority must do the checking house to house.

I witnessed two years ago and still this year that some households in Melalia are still using well water, which turns milky and muddy in rainy season and dry up during drought.
