BN NEGLECTED TAMAN DAI MING, LUYANG

A RECENT site inspection around Luyang was carried out by Andrew Lee, Special Assistant to KK MP Hiew King Cheu, together with Sabah DAP members. The site inspection is an eye opener for all. At the site the team found that the relevant authorities are not carrying out their duties respectively.

The residents told them that they had made an appointment to meet the enforcement officers in regards to matters arising in the area. Unfortunately the officers did not turn up.  The residents were very disappointed and furious over the cold treatment by the enforcement officers.

Andrew found that the area is badly maintained. Grass was uncut and tree brunches were not cleared up and drains are mostly clog-up. Andrew said, he is very sure that the contractor appointed is experience contractors, but again and again this is happening and how could this be over looked.

Are the relevant authorities just ignoring these problems? Why aren’t these contractors being evaluated? At the same time Sabah DAP urged DBKK to look into these matters seriously and to make sure these contractors carry out its work in order and to give the best service to all tax and assessment payers.

At the same location, they also discovered that there is a huge hole beside the road and it’s covered by uncut grass which is as tall as two feet. It is a danger zone for pedestrians and car owners might one day fine their vehicle in the hole.

Beside the hole there are two barricades, however it doesn't serve the purpose as the grass are so tall covering the barricade. Safety measures must be taken to avoid any accidents from taking place. We hope to see fast action by the relevant authorities.

At the site, Andrew was shocked and discussed by the condition of the mini power station.  The condition is so bad and it is an eye soar to the public. The wall is broken due to bad workmanship and the switches are exposed.

It looks like this station has not been maintained or being checked by the SESB. Sabah DAP is demanding for an explanation and urges SESB to quickly make over the station and maintain it well with frequent spot checks. Is high time for the authorities to make things right and do their job! (DAP Media)
