RUINED....Can Denise and Joey go back to how they were, or has Wilfred ruined it?

THE Hong Kong paparazzi press is being blamed for making a mountain out a molehill with regard to the 'love triangle' between Asian stars Joey Yung, Wilfred Lau and Denise Ho.

Even since Joey and Wilfred hooked up last month, Denise—who was often seen as Joey's 'companion' and who is also good friends with Wilfred—has been portrayed as the bitter jilted lover who's been trying to mend her broken heart.

However, Denise continues to insist that she's 'not mad' at anyone—especially not Joey—most recently at a rehearsal for her upcoming concert. But when reporters pressed her with more questions, she lost her cool and flipped them off.

"I'm not answering any more. You can go on speculating," she barked. "To me, everybody's a friend. Joey and I don't have to settle anything."

Denise's repudiation is a far cry from two weeks ago, when she looked melancholy practically every day after the lovebirds announced they were dating. She avoided all questions on the subject from the paparazzi and simply sighed when asked if she would send her blessings to the new couple.

As a result, reporters began spinning a tale of seduction and intrigue that involved secret agendas, spurned lovers and even girl-on-girl (Joey and Denise) action, fuelling the gossip that Denise's androgynous ways was a leading factor in all the drama. All that rumour mongering became a paparazzi sensation.

Though she was away from Hong Kong when Joey and Wilfred's affair was exposed, Denise's silence has done little to stop all the talk. In fact, most of the paparazzi have quoted her Weibo posts as the source of their stories, as she unwittingly provided them with fodder for the headlines they churned out.

The paparazzi smelled blood when Denise stopped following Wilfred on Weibo shortly after he went public with Joey, and when she started posting a series of angry comments and status updates that pointed at a betrayal by a close friend.

All this could be water under the bridge though. After Denise broke her silence, albeit very curtly, Joey was reported to be sending flowers to her to congratulate her on her concert. (Sina.com.hk)
