HAL EHWAL SEKOLAH CINA BAKAL DITUBUHKAN

(Bernama)

  9. The committee will comprise all Principal Zone Council chairmen of Chinese-type schools in the State, and the secretariat will be at the State Education Department's School Management Sector. This committee will function as a channel to discuss issues that arise as a result of misunderstandings. The committee will meet two or three times a year to hear views and ideas that will arise from time to time. For this, the education director asked the Chinese School Assistant Director, with the guidance of the State Education Department School Management Sector Head, to prepare a draft paper for this matter

  10. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman, in his speech read by Deputy Chief Minister cum Minister of Resource Development and Information Technology Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai, said he welcomed the initiative and effort to organise the programme. He said the organising of the competition would not only sharpen the skill and abilities of the students but also improve the command and performance of the students in the Chinese language.

He added that the commitment and harmony that we enjoy today was the result of commitments and sacrifices of leaders in the past and also parents in promoting the spirit of tolerance. He also said the irresponsible actions of certain parties which attempted to agitate racial sentiment was something that needed to be avoided, adding that it would affect public harmony and the country's image, tourism sector, economy and investment. As such, he said, it is important for all parties including the Government, State Education Department and NGOs such as FCAS to discuss and cooperate to reach the best solution.
