THE BASIC Idea of the game is
for players to knock the ball through the hoops in the correct order of play,
with the winner being the player that hits the center peg first.
All players play their first
hit from the start towards Hoop 1. Players then play alternately one shot at a
time; You may have second shot lf :
a) You knock your ball
through the hoop ('Scoring a Hoop') which allows you to continue towards the
next hoop OR
b) You hit another player's
ball a ("Roquet Stroke").
lf you achieve a Roquet
Stroke by hitting another player’s ball, You may place your ball directly next
to their ball (Actually touching it) and play a "Croquet Stroke"!
This mean you can hit their
ball out of the way, and away From the hoop to make it more difficult for them
to reach That hoop. You may then have another shot yourself to try get through
the hoop.
lf you succeed, then play
again. Otherwise, it ls the next player’s turn. Continue this way until the
first person hits the winning peg. The Remaining players continue for 2nd, 3rd
and 4th places.
