SUPT. ADZHAR Othman has
taken over the post of Labuan Polis Chief from Supt.Saiman Kasran effective 1st
Sept 2012. The handing over duties was witnessed by Sabah Commissioner Police
Datuk Pahlawan Hj Hamzah Taib in a brief ceremony held in Labuan Police
Station.
Supt.Saiman Kasran has been
transfer to IPK as Chief of Sabah
Commercial Crime Department.
The new Labuan Polis Chief Supt.Adzhar
would like to thanks the Inspector General Police and Deputy Inspector General
police for the trust on him and his recent promotion.
Supt.Adzhar said he will do
his best to ensure security in labuan and as a police chief he also called for cooperation from his officers and also
the public to work together to reduce crime rate and all illegal activity in
Labuan. He will do Community Policing programe in labuan to fight crime too.
He told pressman that Crime
reduction is everybody’s business.Supt.Adzhar also welcome all kind of feedback
from the public to enable him to improve the police services to the Labuanite.
He said Labuan is a duty
free island, International offshore financial centre and also now booming in
oil and gas industrial sector and as a Police Chief he and his new deputy OCPD
will try do their best to make Labuan a safe and peaceful island to live and
visit without fear including the tourist & investor.
Also present at the handing
ceremony were his New Deputy Police Chief DSP.Douglas; District Crime officer
DSP Lim and all IPD senior police officer.
