DRAIN BADLY BLOCKED

SMELL..... the clogged drain behind the shop.

THE SHOPKEEPER and business operators at Block B shophouses in front of the BCCM church at Jalan Kiansom, Inanam has complained to Sabaha DAP Vice Chairman Edward Ewol Mujie regarding the drain behind their shop has been blocked starting from Restaurant Ngen Soon Hin, for several months which emits foul smell as the water is stagnant.

They said that they have reported this matter to their elected representative as well as to the authorities concerned but up to date nobody has come to inspect the place and take action to clear the drains.

Edward said that the shopkeepers as well as the public who frequent the restaurant are wondering how come no action has been taken to clear the drain so that the water can flow and not remain stagnant.

They said that the foul smell is worst during rainy season, and if the drain is not cleared the stagnant water may even become the breeding place for mosquitoes.

Edward said that the shopkeepers told him that they paid the quit rents and other dues to the local authorities promptly but they are wondering why the local authorities do not even bothered to attend to their complaints and clear the clogged drain.

Edward urges the local authorities concerned to clear the clogged drain as soon as possible. (DAP Media)

  1. The blocked drain behind the shops is causing a terrible smell. It's been months, and no one has taken action despite complaints. Clear the drain now!
