KOTA KINABALU: The
opposition should not be given a chance to rule the country as it is only about
one man, i.e. Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, said Penampang Umno Chief Datuk John
Ambrose.
Ambrose said although the
general election is around the corner, the opposition front has yet to tell the
people who would be the Deputy Prime Minister if Pakatan Rakyat win the
election.
"Unlike Barisan
Nasional, every one knows that Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will be the Prime
Minister and Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will be the Deputy once BN is returned to
power," he said.
Ambrose said Anwar is only
interested in himself being made Prime Minister and has no plans at all for the
country.
"If he is serious in
the wellbeing of the country, he would have announced who would be the shadow
Deputy PM.
"Will it be PAS
President Datuk Seri Abdul Awang Hadi or DAP Advisor Lim Kit Siang or his
right-hand man Azmin Ali, nobody knows.
The people are kept in the
dark about what they will get after the election. So the people should not take
the risk and vote the opposition into power.
"Even in the context of
Sabah, it is unclear who will be appointed to the Federal Cabinet or whether it
will get a DPM as some quarters in the opposition are promising or is it just a
tactic to fish for votes," he said, adding that unlike BN, all the local
BN components will get be represented in the Federal Cabinet. (DE)
