By : SABAH DAP INTERIOR

SABAH DAP interior mobile service volunteers led by Dr Benjamin Yapp, Sabah DAP Parliamentary Liaison Chief for Keningau & Tenom were currently moving around the Tenom constituency offering voluntary services to the Tenom constituents.

He learned from the local people there that there were many problems that had not been solved by the Government. However, Dr Benjamin assured the people to be patience as Sabah DAP and Pakatan Rakyat would endeavor to bring the people’s problems and grievances to the Government authorities. They would carry out whatever means and assistance in order to ease the people’s burdens.

Sabah DAP welcomed public complaints and constructive criticisms from the people as they would enable the Government to understand its weaknesses and Improve the delivery systems.

If the people just kept silence, then it would not be counter productive, and instead the people would suffer. The local people complained to Sabah DAP that the rural infrastructures, rural roads, utilities, public amenities and poverty problems were still needed to be improved, particularly in the rural areas of Melalap, Kemabong and remote interior areas.

Sabah DAP urged the Government to speed up with the rural development if it claimed that the RM10 Billion in the Tenth Malaysia Plan was available for basic rural infrastructure development and other projects. The rural people wanted to see progress and development and NOT just promises and huge amount of funds to be allocated and made out.
