COLLAPSED…. collapsed drain section at Taman Khidmat at Lorong Pokok Seraya 5H.
SABAH DAP Infrastructure Bureau received complaints from residents living in the Taman Khidmat, kolombong here regarding the drains not being cleaned and was not well maintained and it is overgrown with vegetation and piled up with debris everyway.
The Bureau Chief, John Lee Kim Seng and Member Lee Li Teck visited and inspected the drains and found the complaints were valid. There is some section of the drain at the back lane of Lorong Pokok Seraya 5H had collapsed and blocking the flow of the water. There are mosquitoes breeding in most of the drains.
DAP requests that DBKK to immediately take action to clean up all the drains in the housing Taman Khidmat and quickly repair all the damaged drains to avoid further spread of mosquito deceases and inconveniences to the residents here.
At the same time, there are many bushes and trees are growing at the back service lane which is under the care of the BDKK which needed to be cleared and copped off to create a clearer environment and to stop the breeding of snakes and rats in the area. There were cases of rats and snakes entering the house here, which is dangerous to the residents, claimed one resident in the Taman.
The shift action of DBKK is of vital important to ensure the well being and safety of the Taman Khidmat residents.
