DAP MPS VISITED JAPAN PARLIAMENT (DIET)

FOUR DAP Members of Parliament visited the Japan Parliament (DIET) recently on the 22nd of February 2011 in Tokyo. The four MPs were the Kota Kinabalu MP Dr. Hiew King Cheu, MP for Ipoh Barat M. Kulasegaran A/L V. Munugeson, MP for Teluk Intan Manogaram A/L Marimuthu and MP for Jelutong Jeff Ooi Chuan Aun.

They were on a peace mission group organized by the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) to visit Japan and Korea, where all together in the group were 28 Malaysian MPs, a combination of BN, PR and Independent MPs.

During the visit to the Japan Parliament various topic were discussed concerning Human Rights and peace. The Member of the House of Representative, Chairman for Committee of Economic, Trade & Industries cum Leader of Democratic Party Japan, Mr. Keishu Tanaka and several other Japanese Members of Parliament were in the meeting. The informal meeting was very successful and had achieved a further friendly relationship between the countries.

The DAP MPs had taken the opportunity to present a book on the Biographical sketch of the DAP Malaysia Advisor Lim Kit Siang, “The Right to Differ”.

In disclosing this, Hiew said that the book in now only available in the English language version and the Chinese version can only be available in April. Anyone who wishes to get a copy which only costs only RM30.00 (with a DVD disc) can approach the KK MP office in Luyang Foh Sang (Tel: 088 254987) and the KK MP Inanam service centre 2 to place down the order. This is due to the limited copies in stock.
