PICTURE SHOW:…Linda (right) inspects the wooden bridge at Kampung Bambangan
BATU SAPI : The main wooden bridge linking houses to the main jetty at Kampung Bambangan will be repaired soon.
This was disclosed by Batu Sapi Member of Parliament (MP) Datuk Linda Tsen Thau Lin after she visited the fishing village located about 30 KM by road from here to inspect the dilapidated facility yesterday.
The safety of the villagers is a priority and the 700 feet long bridge will be repaired with allocation from the Batu Sapi MP Fund, she added.
Linda who was accompanied by Head Liaison Officer of Batu Sapi MP Office Kong Nyuk Thou and other aides, was greeted by village officials on her routine “turun padang” programme to visit her constituency.
According to Linda, she gives emphasis to the safety and convenience of the more than 60 families living in the fishing village by repairing the wooden bridge because these villagers also travel to Sandakan by sea apart from the land route via Seguntor.
Villagers thanked Linda for her concerns to the wellbeing of Kampung Bambangan folks.
