HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE MISLED?

By: AMDEE SIDIK

I FIND it weird of the short mindedness of UMNO leaders. To begin with, two days ago the Deputy Liaison Chief, Tawau Mohammad Jeffery Rosman lodged a police report alleging Tan Sri Simon Sipaun’s statement made during the inter dialog organized by UBF was misleading and seditious, wonder who are the people or group of people being misled by TS statement?

Another report came from Keningau by Sabah UMNO Youth, Azman Ruslan saying that Simon Sipaun remark were a blatant disrespect to the founding father of Malaysia, which I find this budding politician has closed half of his brain when reading material of this kind. Why doesn’t he read more materials, which now available in public domain, long even before TS gave his remarks. I too want to see the counter argument by UMNO Youth.

TS Simon Sipaun has given the public a comparison between political, and economical atmosphere today and the passed 47 years ago. He has given us the sense of what good governance is all about.

That would be open to public to make the judgment. I suppose only a handful of UMNO members feel misled, the two mentioned did it out to score political mileage and to get a little bit of attention.

Sabah political leaders should train their mind to think, analyze and criticize. Perhaps the two guys surely are far too young to understand the complexities of Sabah politics and they failed to grip the Sabah history.

What actually the leaders doing is echoing like those politics found in Peninsula. I must say not all the kind of politic practice in Peninsula is good enough for Sabah. It took nearly 47 years for PM Najib to come up with the idea of 1Malaysia. Just tell me why?

It took nine days for the authority to reply what must be of more pressing answers, the ‘Sultan Sulu’ coronation right at the very nose of UMNO leaders in Kampong Likas. While noticing Sipaun misleading statement only took a couple of hours.

I’m equally stunned, seeing the absence of response from my fellow Kadazan BN leaders, are all in agreement with UMNO?

For my Muslim leaders in the state of Sabah, since both of them are Muslim could anyone of them help me check my queries about MUIS and Baitul Mal issue I brought up which appeared on 19/02/2011?

  6. Lain kali janganlah memberi kenyataan yang bukan-bukan. Rakyat tahu mana baik dan buruk dalam menilai sesuatu. Tidak perlu menghasut dengan cara yang salah.

  7. Sipaun statement is totally mislead. during the formation of Malaysia, Indonesia had launched an armed confrontation along the border between Sabah and Kalimantan regions, while the Philippines also expressed its claim on Sabah. i think Sipaun also need to examine what will happen to Sabah if we did not participate in the formation of Malaysia.

  8. since the people of Sabah had made the decision to join Malaysia, is Sipaun are trying to blame the people of Sabah on the problems that occur on this day? what is done is done.. kau juga makan gaji dari kerajaan sepanjang 47 tahun Sabah bergabung dengan Malaysia.. itu juga salah satu bukti perubahan ekonomi secara individu..
