ALEX Wong the Kudat Chief of Sabah DAP visited the villages to attend to the complaints from the kampong dwellers at Kg Tiga Papan off Jalan Marang Parang in the Kudat district near to the Tip of Borneo with the visiting Member of Parliament for Kota Kinabalu Dr. Hiew King Cheu and his team. He received many complaints concerning the villages here are having the problems of no water supply, bad roads and some areas no electricity supply.

During the visit, the DAP team found the complaints are true and it is noticed that the main water supply pipes were laid and installed to the houses but no water coming out from the empty pipes. There other places where there are electric poles and wires connected but no power connected and supply. Many of the roads here are bad, filled with pot holes and mostly not sealed yet.

Alex said he was very surprise that the government after so many years and kept on promising election after elections, the situation in Kudat remains not much changed. Why can’t the government do something faster to improve the living standard of the people in Kudat. There are plenty more places that are needed urgent attention and DAP will bring to the attention of the government one by one.

Adambai of Kg Tiga Papan told the DAP that he and his kampong friends had their water meter removed because they refused to pay the meter charges and water bill caused by the running air in the empty pipes.

They asked when they can have their water supply and they are fed up with the burden by using cars to transport their daily water need. If there is no rain fall, their situation will get worse.

Alex urges the Jabatan Air and the state government to immediately get water to the Kampongs there through the pipes or bring in water tanker trucks to distribute water to them until the water can come through the water main.
