THE KAMPONG folks in the Kg Gayang and Kg Karambunai Baru turned to the Sabah DAP KK MP office for assistance after failing to receive any single attention from the many government authorities including the State Assembly woman and the Member of Parliament of their area.
They complained that they have brought up the issue of the very bad roads in the area which is affecting their daily life including heavy repairs sustained on their small vehicles, yet nobody cares about them.
The people thank for the swift action and inspection carried out by the KK MP Hiew King Cheu and the Sabah DAP Vice chairman who had immediately came to the kampongs to inspect the damaged road all over the whole area from top to bottom. They have made a survey on the many deep pot holes and recorded on photos.
They were surprise to notice that even the front portion of the road that connect to the Sulaman Highway is so bad that small vehicles like the Kancil are almost impossible to get through the damaged road surface. It is worst when there is heavy rain down pour. There are no drains on both sides of the road which aggravated the damages.
The Petronas Gas Terminal is here in the Kampong Gayang with many employees and cars going in and out of the area. Why the Petronas management is not putting in an effort to repair this portion of the road which is used daily by their staffs and even their managers. This seriously damaged road section will not cause millions of ringgits.
This will simply reflect the ill management of the Petronas, while they said they have earned billions of ringgits of profit and helping the people in Malaysia. Hiew said they are saying it for fun, because the damaged road which is in front and leading to their terminal and complex did not even receive any attention from them, let alone taking care of the suffering kampong folks in the Kampong Gayang and Karambunai Baru?
It is sad to hear that the local assembly woman and the MP did not come to help but took a deaf ear. The people here said they will definitely ditch them during the coming general election and elect someone who cares. This bad road has implied that they are not caring for the kampong folks who needed urgent help.
Hiew said he and Edward will arrange with the local authorities and the various Ministries concerned to come to repair the damaged road section and all the pot holes.
