Today KKFBOA announced that fishing boats has started operation and are going back to SAFMA with immediate effect at a press conference together with Likas assemblyman Junz Wong and KK member of Parliament Jimmy Wong.
KKFBOA has made this announcement after learning from yesterday court hearing that Sejatera Bumimas has been terminated by SAFMA. Bumimas no longer has the authority to manage SAFMA jetty and certainly has no right to collect charges.
Thus fishing boats owners have unanimously decided to go back to SAFMA for operations immediately.
KKFBOA also took this opportunity to thank SAFMA for doing the right thing to amicably resolve this fish crisis matter.
We are grateful and want to say a big thank you to SAFMA management. Hopefully Bunga Raya won't give us further problem by forcing us to buy their ice. We hope we could bring our own ice supply at SAFMA jetty. KKFBOA president Simon Hong said.
ADUN LIKAS Junz Wong also hailed SAFMA for the good decision made. This decision is most welcomed and we look forward to SAFMA taking back management.
