SABAH Barisan Nasional (BN) should not conveniently put the issue of the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) to the Parliamentary Select Committee and Election Commission to act.
Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Deputy President Datuk Eric Majimbun said it needs a political will to establish the RCI and not by sitting on it purportedly waiting for the EC to respond.
“We appreciate what the Parliamentary Select Committee has done but the Project IC and illegal immigrant issue are already long overdue to be resolved,” he said referring to the statement by the Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan who is leading the BN sub-committee on illegal immigrant and Upko.
Majimbun who is also Sepanggar MP said BN as the government of the day should take immediate action because there are sufficient evidences to act now.
“The BN seems to use the Parliamentary Select Committee to pacify Sabahans and we don't know if the EC will take up RCI? That itself another issue,” he said.
