ROAD POTHOLES DUE TO BAD WORKMANSHIP

ROAD Potholes due to bad workmanship is rather command in Sabah. This can be avoided by using proper methods and quality materials. MP KK Hiew King Cheu special assistant, Andrew Lee was commenting on this matter upon attending to a complaint at Lorong Kepayan 5, Kepayan.

The complainant had forwarded this matter to the relevant authorities such as Penampang Council, DBKK and JKR regarding road conditions here. Potholes are easily enlarged due heavy traffic.

With this pothole, it will definitely slow down the traffic flow and will course damage to vehicles. This road is the only passage leading to the Leng Tze Museum where by many busloads of tourist visits every day.

What impression would our visitors have if out this matters are not look into? It seems like complaints are forwarded to deaf ears and ignorant individuals.

Sabah DAP urges these relevant authorities to be extra sensitive towards the public and willing to assists at any ways possible. The relevant authorities are also urging to be willing to accept views and suggestions by the public which can be effective and helpful in a way.  We learn something every day and there’s no doubt about it.

There are also other matters which are not look into here in this area such as inconsistent garbage collection and grass cutting. The council must looks into this and to make sure that the appointed contractors carry out the job according to schedule given by the local council. Residents here are uneasy when garbage is not collected for weeks and garbage are seen piled up and the smell of garbage is unbearable. (DAP Media)
