SABAHANS LUCKY TO HAVE MUSA AS CM

SIPITANG: Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Hajiji Noor said Sabahans are lucky to have Datuk Seri Musa Aman as the Chief Minister. He described him as a visionary leader with his halatuju vision backed by his corporate experience before entering active politics.

"Sabah is what it is today, economically speaking, because of Musa's skilful leadership especially in handling Sabah's finance.

"When I was his Assistant Finance Minister in 2001, there was just little over RM100 million in the State coffers but now we have RM3 billion," he pointed out.

Hajiji, who is also Sabah BN Treasurer, said this at the Sipitang Umno Annual General Meeting here recently where he represented Sabah Umno.

In his speech, Hajiji expressed confidence that the BN will be returned to power both at the national and state levels.

He pointed out that at the national level, Malaysians have been given a breath of fresh air with the innovative leadership of Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak since he took office as the Prime Minister three years ago.

"Almost every other day, Malaysians hear of Najib introducing something new for the benefit of Malaysians, the latest being the RM100 million allocation for the iM4U fund for youths.

Before this, the Prime Minister even announced something for the taxi drivers.

"All these are in addition to various other programmes or funds announced by Najib over the last three years, beginning with the 1Malaysia concept and the Government Transformation Programme as well as the Economic Transformation Programme," he stated.

Meanwhile, Sipitang Umno pledged its support and loyalty to Najib as Prime Minister and Musa as Chief Minister.

"No matter what happens, Sipitang is with Najib and Musa," declared its chief Datuk Sapawi Ahmad who is also Sabah Umno Information Chief. (DE)
