PRESIDEN Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS), Tan Sri Joseph Kurup mengajak rakyat Sabah supaya memberi kemenangan yang besar kepada Barisan Nasional (BN) dalam pilihan raya umum yang akan datang.
Beliau berkata perjuangan rakyat negeri ini belum selesai dan perjuangan itu hanya dicapai melalui BN di bawah pimpinan Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak dan Ketua Menteri Sabah Datuk Seri Musa Aman.
"Marilah kita renung bersama...Sebenarnya hasil perjuangan BN, kita semua rasai keseronokan hasil ekonomi yang terus berkembang serta keharmonian suasana yang cukup baik di kalangan semua masyarakat Malaysia," katanya ketika berucap pada majlis ulang tahun PBRS ke-18 di sini, malam tadi.
Sehubungan itu, Kurup menyeru semua anggota PBRS di 22 bahagian supaya bersatu dan menyokong calon yang dipilih oleh pucuk pimpinan sebagai calon BN, bertanding di kawasan berkenaan.
"Marilah kita berpegang tangan untuk memberi mandat kepada BN demi kebaikan bersama," katanya.
Sambil meminta rakyat berdiri teguh di belakang pucuk pimpinan BN, beliau turut merayu kepada para pemimpin atasan BN supaya 'melepaskan' rakyat Sabah daripada kerisauan dan kebimbangan tentang masa depan mereka ekoran kehadiran pendatang tanpa izin (PATI) di negeri ini.
"Pendirian PBRS dalam perkara ini amat jelas iaitu mengharap dan mempunyai keyakinan penuh agar kerajaan Pusat menyegerakan pewujudan RCI (Suruhanjaya Siasatan Diraja) untuk mencari penyelesaian masalah tersebut.
"Saya percaya kerajaan Pusat sedar serta memahami tentang keadaan ini dan kita mengharapkan agar penubuhan RCI akan menjadi realiti dalam masa terdekat," katanya.
Kurup berkata parti itu juga akan terus mempertahankan hak asasi tanah anak tempatan, satu daripada isu yang kini hangat diperdebatkan di negeri ini. (BERNAMA)
Component parties like PBRS should give support to the appointed candidates, I'm sure the party leaders will choose the best candidate to represent the party. Hopefully all PBRS members from the 22 districts will agree with the decision.
ReplyDeleteWe share PBRS's sentiments in regard of the RCI establishment. Hope that the Federal Government will finalize the RCI terms of reference so that it can be implemented soon, in order to resolve the illegal immigrant issues in the state.

DeletePersekutuan harus bertindak cepat untuk menubuhkan RCI. Kelemahan menangguh masa cuma mempertingkatkan ketidak puas hati oleh golongan awam sahaja.

ReplyDeleteAfter taking into account all the news flow related to the opposition front, regardless if they are from the state or the peninsular, clearly one can deduce that the the call for a 'united opposition' front clearly a myth and will not be a reality.Each strive to fight for their own ideology.
ReplyDeleteTo makes matters worse for the oppositions, there are some parties have internal conflicts if not internal communication errors.To some extent, some opposition parties even put up a public display of their difference of opinion on certain matter.
ReplyDeleteBut what is most damning is that these peninsular base opposition parties will not put the interest of Sabahan as their primary agenda.Assuming one goes to the argument that the current status quo is evil, on grounds that they are from the 'other side' so to speak, isn't it too a form of betrayal to the people of Sabah by trading for another peninsular base party? trading the present evil for another lesser evil?Lesser or not evil is still evil.Therefore, one can conclude that the opposition is not the best choice.

ReplyDeleteVarious aid extended to the people, including the 1Malaysia People’s Assistance (BR1M), were part of the BN continuous efforts to ease the burden of the people and help them improve their family economy.
ReplyDeleteHistory has shown that the BN had always been working in the best interest of the people in looking after their welfare. However, the BN needs the mandate of the people to ensure continuous efforts could be implemented.
