KG TERAIYUNG ROAD IN BAD CONDITION

INSPECTING..... Edward, Peter and Edwin inspecting the Jalan Perikanan Teraiyung.

THE RECENT visit by the Sabah DAP members to Kg Teraiyung in the Tuaran District near the Rasa Ria Resort Hotel found the road, Jalan Perikanan Teraiyung which is connecting from the main road to the Kg Teraiyung is in a very bad condition.

This road serving the kampong here is filled with pot holes. There is a sign board saying that the road had been upgraded since 2011.

This 1.5 km of road is serving many houses there and it should be upgraded for the benefits of the people here, especially it is also the only road getting into the Fishery Department Research complex here.

The DAP Tuaran chief Liew Fui Ken calls upon the government to check why the road which has been upgraded not long ago and now is already showing so many potholes and water pounding in many places.

He wants the authorities to come to repair or to resurface the whole road for the people, and these people are not to be forgotten. If the road in KK can be resurfaced every year why so many kampong roads are being forgotten and left in a poor condition.

Are the kampong folks not so important and be given third class treatment? The local MP and State Assemblyman should do their duties to bring the matter up frequently with the authorities, and should come personally to see the place for themselves.

Liew also asked for the trees and bushes on both sides of the road to be trimmed and cut back, so that the passing cars will not be scratched and damaged by the bushes and trees which are over shedding the road. (DAP Media)
