THE Sabah DAP Vice Chairman, Edward Ewol Mujie said the statement made by the SAPP Deputy President cum Sepanggar MP Datuk Eric Majimbun in the local newspaper on the 5th of January, Wednesday, criticizing and attacking the DAP Kota Kinabalu MP Dr. Hiew King Cheu demonstrated that he is not only elegant but cannot accept nor tolerate a fellow MP working and setting up a second service centre in the Inanam town. He is either envy or felt offended and rather jealous towards the hard working KK MP doing so much work for the people in Kota Kinabalu and Inanam.
Edward said even thought Eric felt bad, he should not openly attack a fellow MP for serving the people positively by setting up a second MP Service centre. Furthermore, Eric said Hiew’s statement is boastful and is singing his own praise, I find that he has the right say what he like and I don’t think the statement made by the KK MP is boastful. To Eric, he seems to feel that everything is wrong.
Dr, Hiew is in fact the sole and lone opposition MP from Sabah not counting the two ‘BEBAS’ MPs from SAPP who never declared themselves as opposition in Parliament. The difference is the KK MP won his seat under the banner of the strong opposition DAP and while the two so called Independent MPs had won their seats under the banner and logo of BN.
We can see the difference and until today Eric still harping on the issue that “SAPP is opposing what needs to be opposed at the state and federal levels, and are not driven by the sake of publicity but by the grouses of the people”.
He has his right to keep silent without publicity and nobody will know what he is doing all this while, and keeping the people in the dark. On the other hand his words are contradicting, because we can see that his statements are so frequent too in the newspaper, and including this “attacking piece”. He must have forgotten.
Edward also reminds Eric don’t insult a fellow politician. Eric said of his opinion that the KK MP Service centre 2 having Edward Ewol Mujie to man the service Centre that Dr. Hiew does not seem to think the people of Inanam are important.
“This is a totally insult to me and I demand an apology from the Sepanggar MP Eric Majimbun. The true fact is that since I am the person who has been serving in the Inanam area for many years and I know many people along with their problems in the area.
“I was invited by the KK MP to contribute my voluntary service to man the KK MP Service Centre. This is one way that I can continue to serve the people directly and positively after my retirement from the government service. The last posting in the senior government service I was the Secretary to the MPKK, now DBKK. My experience for the four years in the DBKK helps me a lot in serving the people in KK, this makes the KK MP is inviting me to man the office in Inanam. Many people had approached the Service Centre 2 for assistance.”
