TONGOD (Sabah) : Sabah Umno
Liaison deputy chief Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak today launched the Barisan
Nasional (BN) election machinery in Kinabatangan and said Prime Minister Datuk
Seri Najib Tun Razak has brought a politics of hope for the people of Malaysia.
He said Najib had proven his
mettle at the helm of the country's administration by introducing numerous initiatives,
notably the national transformation agenda and the 1Malaysia concept.
"Although Najib took
over the premiership about four years ago, his initiatives are bearing fruit
and Malaysians are generally happy with his administration," he said in
his speech at the launch, here.
Also present were
Kinabatangan MP Datuk Bung Mokhtar Radin and Kuamut Assemblyman Masiung
Banah.
Salleh, who is Sabah
Legislative Assembly Speaker, said: "I believe that with a new brand of
politics of moderation advocated by Najib and, with most of people's grievances
having been heard, the Barisan Nasional is on the right track to face the next
general election."
Salleh said the prime
minister's focus on ensuring peace, development and democracy in the country
would also help win the hearts and minds of the people.
He said the Sabah BN
election machinery was now on standby and ready to be mobilised for the 13th
general election.
Salleh urged the people to
reject issues propagated by the opposition, especially in the rural areas, and
instead rally behind the BN government to ensure a better future for

ReplyDeletetransformasi yang hendak dilaksanakan oleh kerajaan pimpinan Najib adalah satu usaha yang berterusan.. eloklah jika beliau diberikan peluang melaksanakan transformasi beliau lebih2 lagi beliau telah pun membuktikan kemampuan beliau sepanjang 4 tahun pentadbiran beliau..

ReplyDeleteThe Prime Minister who is also national BN chairman and Umno president said with cooperation from all component party members, Sabah would remain strong under the BN.
ReplyDelete“I am returning to Kuala Lumpur tonight because I am going to Mecca to attend the OIC special meeting. But I am going to sleep well knowing that Sabah will remain strong with the BN,” he said when attending the breaking of fast with the people at SMK Bongawan II.

ReplyDeleteHe was also confident that the coalition, through its great leadership line-up, would not be shaken although it had a slight hiccup after several leaders (Datuk Lajim Ukin and Datuk Wilfred Bumburing) jumped ship.
ReplyDeleteNajib said according to the history of Umno, a party would continue to lead with leaders who were honest and sincere and stand strongly behind the party.
