WITH refrence to the Borneo Post newspaper dated January 9, 2011 "Cabbies urge CVLB To Cut Red Tape by Sabah United taxi Association Wong Nyuk Min. Here, we want the CVLB to be brave and confident when making decision to terminate the Taxi Permit of the driver who don't use Meter more than two complaint received from passenger with proof and a compound to the Taxi company for not educating the driver to use Meter.

Last year i took a taxi from Bandaran Berjaya taxi bay to airport and the driver did not use meter and charge me RM30 which by right he should switch the meter when passenger get in the taxi.

The taxi driver will always take avantage that if you are in a hurry to airport and giving all sort of fuck*ng excuse even they are queing at the Taxi stand by telling pasengger that they don't use meter.

Here, not to mention Kuala lumpur taxi as they are the worst cabbies in Malaysia as the enforcer or CLVB are sleeping. In KL you can see passenger talking to the driver one after another as the cabbies are negotiating the fare with passenger not using meter at Bukit Bintang taxi bay or shopping mall. Do you think the JPJ and CLVB doesn't know about it?

I have complaint and SMS to the relevant authority but always no reply on the investigation outcome. The cabbies always give reason that KL traffic jam or coming back without passenger so they don't use meter.

If KL or Kota kinabalu no traffic jam that's mean that they are not living in a cities and the cabbies should go and drive Taxi at langkawi Island which got no traffic jam at all. We hope the JPJ and CLVB should be brave to discharge their duty before the KL cabbies virus spread to Sabah by not using meter and cut passenger throat.

If the cabbies cheat the passenger can get rich over nite never mind but after 5 year you saw him still waiting at the taxi stand waiting for passenger and that's mean the God is great, you cheat won't get rich too.

We are Malaysian and they also refuse to use meter which we can follow up our complaint with the authority and how about tourist. I have been too many countries like Bangkok and China and all cabbies use meter when their taxi stated METER TAXI.

The Road Transport Minister should look into this matter seriously which cabbies are the front line services sector for tourism and this kind of cabbies as mentioned above will only spoil the country image. We want the CLVB terminate the bad apple taxi driver permit if catch them without using meter without fear and JPJ should also have same power too to terminate their permit.
