UNKNOWN PAJUDIN IS SABAH PKR CHIEF

LITTLE-KNOWN Pajudin Nordin, 42, of Tuaran is Sabah PKR’s New Chief. He replaces the heavily-criticised incumbent, Ahmad Thamrin Jaini.

PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail announced Arab-speaking Pajudin’s appointment yesterday.

Pajudin, who is fondly addressed as ‘ustaz’ among his friends here, was no where on the list of battling candidates touted by the media during the runup to the selection.

Vying for the post were Tuaran division’s Ansari Abdullah and Ahmad.

A meeting with secretary general Saifudin Nasution last week had failed to bring the bickering parties to a common consensus on who should lead.

Wan Azizah also announced Lukia Indan as the new PKR Woman chief. Lukia was a party former candidate for Kadamaian state constituency in Kota Belud in the 2008 general election. She replaced Shaukinah Yusof.
