'BN MUNGKIN HILANG SEPARUH KERUSI SABAH'

  13. The Barisan Nasional (BN) government is confident of garnering the support of the people of Sabah in the upcoming general election. Deputy Health Minister Datuk Rosnah Haji Abdul Rashid Shirlin said to reporters after attending the RTM Jelajah Merdeka Raya 2012 that the confidence was based on researches and responses they had gathered from the people of Sabah with regards to their support of the central and state governments. She asserted that this is not just empty talk based on uncertain aspirations and facts.

  14. These are base on the researches and responses that have have collected.Rosnah added that she was also certain that the people of Sabah were mature enough to think of the pros and cons to ensure they continue to support the present government and this will be proven in the upcoming election. She also said that the decision of some former members of BN and Umno to leave the party and join the opposition would not adversely affect the party’s preparation to face the election.

  15. It is understandale the reasons why the leaders left the party. Of course, the issue of loyalty will be look into. And as the president of BN has said, loyalty to the party and its struggle is very important and it is clear that these were not respected by those whom have decided to choose a different direction. However, Rosnah stressed that BN objective is not to attack them personally since these were their choice.

  16. As the Puteri head and Umno and BN member, she sees the shift of loyalty of these leaders as having no impact at all on the efforts of BN to ensure it remains the choice of the people in Sabah and Malaysia. As the Puteri head and Umno and BN member, she is confident of BN struggle under the leadership of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister. She stressed that they will fight to the end and ensure the party retains the seats and grabs those that had been lost to the opposition in the last election. What is imperative is for BN party’s machineries to go down and explain to the people that the actions of their former party members do not signify that there is something negative going on among the BN leaders.

  17. The aspiration of the people has been materialized with the formation of the RCI (Royal Commission of Inquiry) although the issue was politicized by leaders from the opposition parties. Rosnah also said that of late, Sabah has been seeing the visit of many opposition leaders. Many of the opposition leaders are coming to Sabah, but Rosnah remains confident and believe that the people of Sabah will remain firm to the BN struggle and our leaders who hold on to the tagline ‘promise kept’. She added that the newest promise made by the opposition party will not materialize as they do not have the economic means to realize it.
