WALK IN 12 INCHES WATER TO SCHOOL?

Sabah DAP Tuaran Branch Chief, Peter Liew and his mobile service teams received complaints from local residents, particularly parents and teachers. They complained about the bad condition of the entrance road to St. John Middle School, especially when is in raining season, the section of road will be covered by water at least 6 to 12 inches deep. In addition, the road fills with pot holes.

Peter said: "The Government has announced again and again to improve or repair the road in Sabah, but Parliament Liaison district such as Tuaran, everywhere we can see the roads are fill with potholes and cracks."

47 years since the establishment of Malaysia, the road in Sabah has always has been in bad conditions, even in Kota Kinabalu city itself, the road is not in very good shape. The streets road of ‘A CITY’ management and maintenance to this point, we really don’t know what is the government really doing, and whether the taxpayer money was being spent wisely? Sabah bad road and uneven road surface everywhere, this shows how mismanagement of BN government.

SM St. John has about seven hundred over students and we understand that our state Minister of Local Government Datuk Hajiji Haji Noor was ex-students of that school. It has been rain for the last two months and cause the section of road flood, the students and teachers had to walk in 12 inches water to go to school. The authorities should immediately carry out road maintenance work during the school holidays and do not delay.
