By: DAP MEDIA

SABAH DAP Vice Chairman, Edward Ewol Mujie said that Soon Mew Shing has come to see him to complaint that his application for low cost house has not been approved until today.

Edward said that Soon Mew Shing has been staying at Kampung Lembaga Padi for about 23 years and DBKK vie letter ref: DBKK no JP700-I/4/2klt.9 dated 20.08.2010 has give notice to him to vacate his house as his house was built illegally and after receiving the notice he want to seek the help of SUHAKAN (Cawangan Sabah) who in turn wrote a letter of recommendation to LPPB vie letter Ref: SHM(SBH)001/08/1 dated 14.09.2010 as a result LPPB give him a Form No. 012006 dated 27.09.2010 stating that his application for low cost house is under consideration.

However, Edward said from then on Soon Mew Shing has been making enquires many times with LPPB but each time he was told that his application is still under consideration. But on his last visit to LPPB on 19.11.2010, he was told that there are no low cost house available so the officer of LPPB told him to rent a house until his application is approved.

But according to Edward, Soon Mew Shing told him that his is jobless as well as he is sick and cannot afford to rent a house as the rental is very high and more over Soon Mew Shing has complaint to him that all those who are staying at Kampung Lembaga Padi has been allocated Low Cost Houses including a Chinese from Sarawak except him.

Edward said he hope LPPB can seriously consider Soon Mew Shing’s application because according to him a DBKK officer has inform him that he must vacate his house by the end of the year. If not DBKK is going to demolish it. Edward also said LPPB should give priority to local Sabahan especially those who are eligible and entitle.
