THE mobile service conducted by the Sabah DAP Kapayan branch in the shopping centre at Millenium Complex near CKS Supermarket in Kapayan was attended by the Kota Kinabalu Member of Parliament Dr. Hiew King Cheu, Vice Chairman Edward Ewol Mujie and members of the Kapayan Branch.

The event was specially aimed at registering young and new voters to speed up the process of getting all eligible voters to register with the SPR (Election Commission) in order they can exercise their right to vote as any other Malaysian. This is also to create awareness that it is the right of everyone to elect and choose their representatives and the government.

The KK MP received many comments and complaint concerning the overall cleanliness of the Penampang district, which includes the clearing and handling of the garbage, because it is far from satisfactory. The people said they hope the Penampang Council should clear the garbage regularly and not let it rot in the pile.

The Sabah DAP Kapayan Branch will organize other similar event to meet the people in the Kapayan area which will cover Beverly Hill, Bundusan, Lido, Kapayan Ridge and Petagas. We need to get close to the people more often and to understand their problems, so that we can be in a better position to serve well said its Branch Chairman Steven Jimbangan.
