SABAH Gerakan Chief Datuk Gordon Leong (back row standing, 2nd from left) and Jimmy Wong Chee Kiong (standing next to Gordon), Political Secretary to Sabah Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Musa Hj Aman joins Gerakan President Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon (standing in the middle) and a group of Barisan Nasional (BN) supporters, to give moral support to President of Sarawak United People Party (SUPP) Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan (standing, front row right) who is the BN’s candidate for N63 Piasau.
According to Gordon, Gerakan Sabah had dispatched a 11-member delegation comprising the the National Vice President of Gerakan and Sabah Minister of Industrial Development, Datuk Raymond Tan; National Central Committee member and Sabah Minister of Sports and Youth, Datuk Peter Pang; Gerakan Sabah State Youth Chief Chang Shui Kiong, Jimmy Wong; Gerakan Sabah State Assistant Secretary Wong Choon Seng and Political Secretaries to Tan and Pang, Henry Hung and Jason Tan, and their Press Secretaries Lee Ting Loi, Andrew Goh and Lee Yun Siong, respectively, to assist the three BN candidates in Miri in the ongoing Sarawak state election campaign, since the nomination day. The three are, Dr Chan, Datuk Lee Kim Shin, BN candidate for N65 Senadin and Andy Chia Chu Fatt, BN candidate for N64 Pujut.
They were joined by their National President Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon and the Penang Gerakan delegation led by its State Liaison Chairman Dato Dr Teng Hock Nam.
Immediately after the nomination, the Sabah Gerakan delegation together with Koh and the Penang Delegation attended a ‘meet-the-people’ luncheon held at the Boulevard Restaurant to kick off the Miri Election Campaign Trail for the three Sarawak BN/SUPP candidates.
