SABAH MIC WANTS TAMIL RADIO STATION





KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) Chairman, Datuk Dr. V. Jothi, on Saturday called on the Ministry of Information, Communication and Culture to seriously consider setting up a Tamil Radio Station in Sabah.

He said this in response to the request by one of the participants at the workshop entitled "Selamatkan Diri Anda", here, Saturday.

The event was organised by Sabah MIC Women. Apart from that, Jothi said some 25 1Malaysia water tanks would be distributed to Indian families in the Kota Kinabalu area who are in need of assistance.

"The water tanks will be sent directly to their homes," he said.

Meanwhile, talks were conducted by LPPKN Psychology Officer Suzanna Piny, followed by another talk by lawyer G.B.B. Nandy @ Gaanesh JP, AMN who is also the President of Sabah Law Association (SLA) and Inspector Siti Nooraini Mohd Sahid from IPD KK.

About 70 participants received their participation certificates before the workshop ended.
