KOTA KINABALU: Sabah
Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) Chairman, Datuk Dr. V. Jothi, on Saturday
called on the Ministry of Information, Communication and Culture to seriously
consider setting up a Tamil Radio Station in Sabah.
He said this in response to
the request by one of the participants at the workshop entitled
"Selamatkan Diri Anda", here, Saturday.
The event was organised by
Sabah MIC Women. Apart from that, Jothi said some 25 1Malaysia water tanks
would be distributed to Indian families in the Kota Kinabalu area who are in
need of assistance.
"The water tanks will
be sent directly to their homes," he said.
Meanwhile, talks were
conducted by LPPKN Psychology Officer Suzanna Piny, followed by another talk by
lawyer G.B.B. Nandy @ Gaanesh JP, AMN who is also the President of Sabah Law
Association (SLA) and Inspector Siti Nooraini Mohd Sahid from IPD KK.
About 70 participants
received their participation certificates before the workshop ended.
