WHAT is peace to you? Is
peace an absence of war? What can I do for peace? In line with SGM’s Month of
Peace in September, SGM is launching a series of activities throughout the
nation with the purpose of building a culture of peace in the respective
areas.
At the same time, it opens
the doors to peace and calling on people in society to participate and work
together towards a harmonious Malaysia.
In conjunction with the
“International Peace Day” celebrated throughout the world on the 21st
September, SGM (Soka Gakkai Malaysia) Sabah branch is organizing an exhibition
– “Building A Culture Of Peace For The Children Of The World” to support the
United Nations’ Culture of Peace Initiative.
This exhibition was launched
at the United Nations Headquarters in February 2004 where it was seen by 10,000
people including local school children and it has been exhibited in various
countries around the world.
“Building A Culture Of Peace
For The Children Of The World” exhibition will be held on Saturday &
Sunday, 22nd & 23rd September 2012 from 9 am to 5 pm at the SGM Sabah
Branch Cultural Centre, Jalan Tuaran By-pass, Inanam, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
