IF RCI IS TO BE OF INTEGRITY

Dear Editor,

IN ANTICIPATION of the Federal Government's announcement on the setting up of a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on illegal immigrants and dubious MyKads in Sabah, i would like them to consider a few points that are vital to safeguard the country's and the RCI's integrity.

We are very happy to hear that the federal government is finally considering the setting up of the RCI, even though it is long overdue but i supposed it is better late than never.

If the proposed RCI is to work and solve the outstanding problems in Sabah, the following must be considered :

- The government must be sincere,

- The Term of Reference must be comprehensive, and

- Members of the RCI should consist of people with high integrity with no political interest and should be good people from Sabah.

This should be done and completed BEFORE the coming General Election, because many voters in Sabah are foreigners, many of whom are already proven to be in the electoral roll.

    Even though Datuk Dr jeffrey Kitingan is on the opposition side, hopefully the status quo will take in the items that he has highlighted.

    Penubuhan RCI akhirnya menjadi kenyataan untuk penduduk Sabah.Maka kita tunggu perkembangan seterusnya mengenai penubuhan RCI di Sabah.

    point2 yang disebutkan oleh JK sememangnya ada dalam RCI.. sebab itu semua pihak mempercayai kredibiliti RCI berbanding dengan anggota polis.. sebab itu semua pihak mahu RCI ditubuhkan.. jadi JK tidak perlulah menasihatkan pihak yang lebih dulu mengguna-pakai cadangan beliau itu..

    saya yakin sekiranya RCI ditubuhkan, pasti ramai pihak yang cuba meletakkan parti mereka dihadapan kononnya lebih dulu dan bersungguh2 dalam memperjuangkan RCI sehingga cadangan itu ditubuhkan..

    that's why everyone in this state want the federal govt to set up RCI for this state.. they know that RCI is more sincere, more comprehensive, and consist of people with high integrity with no political interest..

    RCI sepatutnya ditubuhkan dari awal-awal lagi. Bukan bila masalah sudah di tahap kronik.
